This artwork represents the journey of women reclaiming their strength and stepping into new opportunities after experiencing domestic violence. At the bottom right, the symbol of a woman stands broken, symbolising the pain, trauma, and barriers faced.
Yet, within that brokenness, there is hope for healing and renewal. A wavy path begins beneath the broken symbol, symbolising the ongoing journey toward recovery, resilience, and self-discovery.
The path’s gentle curves reflect the ups and downs faced along the way, but it always leads upward—toward brighter futures. Surrounding the path are eucalyptus leaves, which symbolise healing, renewal, and resilience in Aboriginal culture. They remind us that healing is a natural and ongoing process, supported by nature and community.
Outside the path, a meeting spot surrounded by people represents connection, encouragement, and collective strength, empowering women to overcome obstacles and embrace new employment opportunities.
This artwork celebrates hope, healing, and the power of community to support women on their journey toward independence and renewed purpose.
